Hey everyone,
I have just signed up at TBU and I'd like to say hi. To be honest I had no idea what TBU was until I heard about the Manchester event, 3 days beforehand. I live in Newcastle so it wouldn't have been a long trip for me but I had already booked a trip to Glencoe, gutted!
Looks like you all had fun and I'm currently chewing off a colleagues ear to get time off for Austria. I'm quitting my job some time before November and booking a one-way ticket to either South America or South East Asia, you can get updates on my sanity on my blog at http://manvsclock.com/

Glencoe or Manchester . . . . if it wasnt for our conference I know which I'd choose first! Shame you couldn't meet us all. Most of the Manchester group will be in Innsbruck and it's going to be an awesome event.
There are quite a lot of plans afoot and I think they'll be really useful for you in anticipation of quitting your job.
For instance the conf would help you understand how to approach PRs and tourist boards better. This can be used to help with any upcoming trip you have planned.
Like the name of your blog, soon as I read it I think man vs crappy 9-5 job & always clock watching!!

Ah it was amazing, I forgot my camera too haha! Saying that, I see in Austria you have a travel photo guru coming along, which is good for me because I can manage to make a beautiful Cathedral look ugly! I'm definitely going to do all I can to get there and really want to.
Does everyone just sort out their own accommodation or does some people know of nearby convenient places?
Haha that's EXACTLY why my blog has that name, mate :)
