Reflecting on TBU Innsbruck Post-Conference Tours

A few weeks have passed since we embarked on our post conference tours in and around Innsbruck, yet the memory of those two days will live on for a while.

Its goal is for the public to “rediscover and visit the sites and attractions which became part” of Jose Rizal’s colorful life in celebration of his 150th birth anniversary (Lakbay Jose Rizal @ 150 Pasaporte, 2011).

We can live without sugar

To everyone’s horror – but few people’s surprise – President Museveni has decreed that ‘the degraded part’ of the ancient and fabulous Mabira Forest, protected under international law, should be cut down. And for what crucial development project?

The president says the current scarcity of sugar warrants giving away the Forest.  Ugandans aren’t silly (and they love discussing current affairs); they’re well aware…

2011 Lionman - Olympic Distance Triathlon in Belize City, Central America

Sunday morning, I did something I don’t do very often. Even though I probably should.

I got up at 5:00 am to take photos.

With my camera equipment, 4 liters of water in a camelbak, various rugs and towels to drain sweat, my friend Ava and I mounted Mr. Morgans taxi around ten to six and headed for Barrack Road. I am telling you about my equipment to make one point: This is what I needed to survive that…
