Delegates at TBU Innsbruck will be able to choose from an even greater range of workshops, covering a variety of useful & worthwhile topics.
DAY ONE - Friday 26th August
There are 3 workshop slots on day one and in total you have 5 different topics to choose from. We initially started out with 4 on this day, yet we decided to add in a travel writing workshop aimed at the first timers to a TBU Conference. Abigail King has kindly agreed to do this as well, she writes for National Geographic so she knows a thing or two!
Two of the workshops will have different sessions targeted towards different levels of ability. "SEO and Your Blog" & "Travel Blogging with WordPress" will have sessions aimed at different levels of ability. Therefore you may want to download this pdf to help you plan your day around these sessions.
Here is a little more information on "Travel Blogging with WordPress" . . .
Travel Blogging with WordPress for Beginners
Pretty new to WordPress? This session will cover the basics, hints and tips for getting started quickly, everything you need to know about your first blog and getting the most out of it.
Travel Blogging with WordPress for Intermediates
Got some experience? Let's talk about bumping your WordPress install up to the next level and make it more powerful with custom themes, plugins and performance enhancers. (oo err)
Travel Blogging with WordPress for Pros
Been doing this for a few years? Know your PHP from your HTML & CSS? Let's get geeky with custom post types, custom post formats, multi-site installs and other tomfoolery. This is the advanced session for really pushing WordPress to the maximum on your site.
DAY TWO - Saturday 27th August
The main feature on Day Two is the "Pitch To Industry Networking Room" which is a first for a Travel Bloggers Conference. It provides travel bloggers with an ideal opportunity to promote themselves and their blogs to representatives from the travel industry.
On the first day, bloggers can learn "How To Pitch To PR" whilst representatives from the travel industry will also learn how they can work with bloggers more effectively.
Just as we have done with the workshops, we have allocated specific slots to this networking opportunity. This enables preset appointments to be created between bloggers and travel companies.
Download the workshop pdf to make the most out of your time on day two.
